The Tug Mcgraw & No Barriers Women’s Retreats
These programs offer extraordinary opportunities for female veterans and their families. Women now constitute 14% of active-duty forces and 17% of the Army National guard and reserves. These veterans suffer from many of the same wounds of war as their male counterparts including, though not limited to, traumatic brain injuries and posttraumatic stress disorder. In addition, approximately one in three military women has been sexually assaulted, which is twice as high as the civilian rate. Through these programs we empower soldiers and veterans to break through barriers, find their inner purpose and contribute their very best to the world. Mountains serve as both metaphor and training ground for stretching goals, building world-class teams, innovating through adversity and stepping up to lead and serve others. Through these experiences, we provide veterans with camaraderie and support systems they can depend on.
The Tug McGraw Foundation
The Tug McGraw Foundation supports and enhances the quality of life for military service members living with Traumatic Brain Injury and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and their families, by stimulating and facilitating research and programs that address the physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual impact of the injury or disorder.
